Cyber Essentials

Cyber Essentials is a UK Government backed scheme aimed at helping firms protect themselves from some of the most common cyber attacks.

Firms will need to complete the online Cyber Essentials Questionnaire as part of the Cyber Essentials Certification, this should be completed prior to your Cyber Essentials Assessment.  You can also complete your Cyber Essentials Plus Assessment, within 3 months of your last Cyber Essentials Certification. 

Firms could receive Cyber Essential Certification within 3 working days after submitting the application.

There are two levels of certification, each valid for 12 months:

Cyber Essentials

Essentially an application consisting of around 100 technical questions that need answering by your firm, which is then independently verified.

Cyber Essential Plus

Cyber Essentials Plus goes a step further than Cyber Essentials, by way of an additional element of an external 'technical  check'.
